Frustrated Wife: I can't get the TV to work.
Husband: Get the TV remote and press power.
Wife: It didn't work.
Husband: Which remote do you have.
Wife: The silver one that says Comcast.
Husband: That's not the TV remote that's the cable remote. Get the black remote that says Panasonic and hit the power button.
Wife: Still doesn't work.
Husband: Is it the TV or the DVD remote?
Wife: How do I know?
Husband: Is the DVD player on?
Wife: Yes.
Husband: Get the other black Panasonic remote and press power.
Wife: Cool the TV is on but I don't have a picture or sound.
Husband: Press the input button on the remote until it says HDMI 1.
Wife: HDM what?
Husband: HDMI 1.
Wife: Great I got a picture but no sound.
Husband: Get the Yamaha remote and press power.
Frustrated Wife: Forget it! I'll watch the little TV in the
Kitchen.
You get the point. You've spent thousands on a nice system, get a good control system and make it easy to use. Press the 'TV' button and the system comes on and configures all your equipment to their appropriate settings.
Our control systems also have wireless capability so your equipment can be placed out of sight and you don't have to point the remote to make it work.
